Ships at a distance have every man's wish on board. For some they come in with the tide. For others they sail forever on the horizon, never out of sight, never landing until the Watcher turns his eyes away in resignation, his dreams mocked to death by Time. That is the life of men. Oklahoma is OK!
Came across the Oklahoma border yesterday and that damn song keeps sticking in my brain. You know the one, about the winds. The winds were blowing really good. I'm set up now in a small shady spot near the Illinois River. My friends from Amazon days have been here 2 months but will be leaving soon to go to work at Amazon in Kansas. Tomorrow I will start work in the office and helping out in activities. This will be the first time I've tried working with kids and camping. Don't know for sure that I will make it. We will see. But for now I am looking forward to seeing some of Oklahoma. Who knows, I might meet a for real cowboy!
